Classroom & Community Guidelines
Last updated: August 30, 2026 • Fostering an Inspiring Atelier Culture
The Shittal's Institute of Fashion (SIF) student community is a vibrant atelier of aspiring fashion creators, boutique owners, and master tailors across India. These guidelines ensure our shared spaces remain supportive, inspiring, and professional.
1. Our Core Atelier Values
Empowerment
Celebrate each other's milestones, from a first neck drafting exercise to grand bridal boutique launches.
Constructive Critique
Offer kind, actionable suggestions regarding dart manipulation, armhole fitting, and fabric selection.
Inclusivity
Welcome students across all age groups, background experiences, and language preferences (Marathi, Hindi, English).
2. Discussion & Live Chat Etiquette
- Stay on Topic: Keep questions focused on the specific course chapter, measurement formulas, or garment construction steps.
- Share Authentic Work: When uploading assignment photos for Dr. Sheetal Patil's review, post your genuine practice stitches and drafts.
- No Spam or Self-Promotion: Do not post third-party commercial links, Telegram groups, WhatsApp spam, or external product promotions in lesson comments.
- Respect Faculty Time: Live webinars and Q&A sessions are structured to address curriculum challenges; submit questions concisely in the chat.
3. Zero-Tolerance Violations
Harassment, hate speech, derogatory remarks regarding body shapes or cultural attire, unconsented direct messaging to other students, or intellectual property piracy will result in immediate forum bans and account termination.
